The Basics of Snow Plows
In theory, a snow plow is rather simplistic, a motor drives a pump which pushes a fluid causing a reaction (up, down, left, and right). The real challenge, isn't the pushing of a fluid, rather, it is pushing the fluid in a specific direction to cause a specific action. The ability to control the action of the movement of fluid is generated through the opening and closing of valves. These valves are actuated with electric coils and solenoids. The challenge isn't really a question of hydraulics, rather, it is a question of control, more specifically, electricity.
